Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday lauded all vaccinators for administering 200 crore Covid vaccine doses as of July 17.
The scale and speed that India imparted to the world’s largest vaccination programme has been spectacular and this has happened due to the efforts of people like you,” PM Modi wrote in an appreciation letter thanking vaccinators for their contribution.
This comes a year after the launch of the world’s largest Covid-19 vaccination drive. India crossed the milestone of administering 200 crore vaccination doses on Sunday (July 17).
India has “created history again”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday.
“India creates history again! Congrats to all Indians on crossing the special figure of 200 crore vaccine doses. Proud of those who contributed to making India’s vaccination drive unparalleled in scale and speed. This has strengthened the global fight against Covid-19,” PM Modi tweeted.
On Tuesday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that India’s cumulative Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded a total of 200.33 crores.
Mandaviya launched ‘Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsav’ at Covid Vaccination Camp in Nirman Bhawan on Friday and appealed to the masses to get the free dose so as to ensure protection against Covid-19.”
“All Health Ministry employees initiated their inoculation of the free doses. My appeal to all citizens above the age of 18 years to get the free dose to ensure your protection against Covid-19,” said Mandaviya.
“On ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav‘, all eligible people (18+) can get a free precaution dose for the next 75 days,” he added.
The free vaccination drive has been launched with the aim of increasing the uptake of the precautionary dose of the Covid vaccine among the eligible adult population.
This special vaccination drive is a part of the celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav‘ and aims to provide free precaution doses for all adults (18 years and above) eligible population at Government Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs).
The Centre has announced a special drive ‘Covid Vaccination Amrit Mahotsava‘ to be launched to provide free precaution doses at all Government Covid Vaccination Centres for persons aged 18 years and above for 75 days from July 15 to September 30, 2022.
Those eligible for the precaution dose include all persons above 18 years who have completed 6 months (or 26 weeks) from the date of administration of the second dose.

In what may be seen as another sign that all’s not well in the BJP’s alliance with Janata Dal (United) in Bihar, no welcome advertisements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi were given by the Nitish Kumar government ahead of his visit to Patna today.
The absence becomes starker when one sees newspapers in Jharkhand — a state ruled by an anti-BJP alliance led by Hemant Soren — filled with such ads. PM Modi is to visit Deoghar in Jharkhand before Patna the same day.
In Patna, he will inaugurate a Centenary Pillar on the assembly premises as part of a closing ceremony to mark 100 years of the building. This is the first time a prime minister is coming to the Bihar assembly complex. That’s being attributed to the influence of Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha, who comes from the BJP. PM Modi will lay the foundation of a museum too.
While there is no “welcome” advertisement from the assembly today, Mr Sinha underlined that there was one that came out yesterday. He added, “The entire government is working overtime to ensure the PM’s visit to the assembly is a historic one.” The ad issued yesterday was a public invitation.
A number of senior JDU leaders said the absence of welcome ads from the government “may be a human error”. To say that it’s been done intentionally would be an exaggeration, they insisted, not willing to be named. They also underlined that the Prime Minister is visiting on invitation of the Speaker and thus “the assembly secretariat is active for that”. “Whatever cooperation was expected from the state government departments, it was given,” said a JDU leader.
There is, however, another ad that has caught attention. Businessman Jeevan Kumar, representing an organisation called Hindu Jagran Manch, has issued a full-front-page welcome ad for PM Modi.
Jeevan Kumar has been in the sand business for years, and has made news too. Last year, when senior leaders from the ruling alliance attended his son’s birthday party, Nitish Kumar was so angry with those from the JDU that he did not talk to many of them for months, it is learnt.
The Bihar alliance has seen some disagreements between the partners over the past few months, a recent one being over the Agnipath defence recruitment scheme. While the BJP continued to defend the scheme despite protests – particularly in Bihar – the JDU spoke against the four-year contractual hiring of soldiers.

मोदी बोले, ‘आपने इन्हें भरोसे के साथ सत्ता सौंपी थी, लेकिन उन्होंने इसे कमाई का जरिया बना लिया। जब सत्ता से बेदखल किया, तो उनके अंदर जहर भर गया। 10 साल तक यूपीए की सरकार में रहते हुए बिहार पर गुस्सा निकाला। ये लोग बिहार की हर योजना को लटकाने और भटकाने वाले हैं। 15 साल तक अपने शासन के दौरान इन्होंने बिहार को लूटा-खसोटा है।’

मोदी के भाषण की प्रमुख बातें:
- ‘साथियों, बिहार के लोग कभी कन्फ्यूजन में नहीं होते। चुनाव के इतने दिन पहले ही अपना स्पष्ट संदेश दे रहे हैं। जितनी रिपोर्ट आ रही हैं, सब में यही आ रहा है कि बिहार में फिर एक बार एनडीए सरकार बनने जा रही है।’
- ‘कोरोना से बचने के लिए जिस तरह यहां सरकार ने काम किया, उसके नतीजे आज दिख रहे हैं। दुनिया के अमीर देशों की हालत किसी से छिपी नहीं है। अगर बिहार में तेजी से काम नहीं हुआ होता तो महामारी हमारे कितने लोगों की जान ले लेती। कितना हाहाकार मचता, इसकी कोई कल्पना नहीं कर सकता। लेकिन, बिहार सारी सावधानियों का पालन करते हुए लोकतंत्र का पर्व मना रहा है।’
- ‘चुनाव में कुछ लोग भ्रम फैलाने के लिए एक-दो चेहरों को बड़ा दिखाने लग जाते हैं। कुछ लोगों के उभरने की बातें फैलाई जाती हैं, लेकिन इससे वोटिंग पर फर्क नहीं पड़ता। बिहार के लोगों ने मन बना लिया है कि जिनका इतिहास बिहार को बीमार को बीमारू बनाने का है, उन्हें आसपास भी फटकने नहीं देंगे।’
- ‘वो दिन घर की बिटिया घर से निकलती थी, वो जब तक लौटकर न आए, माता-पिता की सांस अटकी रहती थी। वो लोग जिन्होंने एक-एक नौकरी को लाखों-करोड़ों कमाने का जरिया माना, वे फिर ललचाई नजरों से देख रहे हैं। हमें याद रखना है कि बिहार को इतनी मुश्किलों में डालने वाले कौन थे। 2014 में केंद्र में सरकार बनने के बाद बिहार को डबल इंजन की ताकत मिली, राज्य में ज्यादा तेजी से काम हुआ है।’
- ‘कोरोना के दौरान करोड़ों गरीब बहनों के खाते में करोड़ों की मदद भेजी, कई गैस कनेक्शन दिए गए। देश जहां संकट का समाधान करते हुए आगे बढ़ रहा है, ये लोग हर संकल्प के सामने रोड़ा बनकर खड़े हैं। देश को बिचौलियों-दलालों से मुक्त कराने का फैसला लिया, ये लोग उन्हीं के पक्ष में खड़े हैं। किसान तो बहाना है, उनके लिए तो बिचौलियों-दलालों को बचाना है।’
- ‘राफेल के लिए भी ये लोग बिचौलिए-दलाल की भाषा बोल रहे थे। इनके लिए देशहित नहीं, दलालों का हित ज्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है। जब बिचौलियों-दलालों पर चोट होती है, तब-तब ये लोग बौखला जाते हैं। ये लोग देश को कमजोर कर रहे लोगों का साथ देने से भी चूकते।’
- ‘तब मैं गुजरात का मुख्यमंत्री हुआ करता था। नीतीश कहते थे कि दिल्ली को बिहार का अखाड़ा मत बनाइए। उनके साथ मिलकर नीतीशजी ने सरकार बनाई। सब जानते हैं कि उन 18 महीनों में क्या हुआ? नीतीश इस खेल को भांप गए कि बिहार 15 साल पीछे चला जाएगा। बिहार के विकास के लिए हम फिर नीतीशजी के साथ आए। मुझे अभी नीतीशजी के साथ काम करते हुए 4-5 साल ही हुआ है।’
- ‘आज बिहार के हर गांव तक सड़क पहुंच रही है। बिहार की नदियों पर आधुनिक पुल बन रहे हैं। सोन नदी पर कितने पुल कागजों पर बन रहे थे। अब यहां फोरलेन पुल बनाया जा रहा है। नक्सल प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में सड़कों-पुलों पर काम चल रहे हैं। रेलवे स्टेशनों का सौंदर्यीकरण जारी है। कनेक्टिविटी सुधारने के लाभ यहां के लोगों को मिलेगा।’
- ‘आत्मनिर्भरता के संकल्प को मजबूत करने के लिए नीतीशजी के नेतृत्व में एनडीए की सरकार जरूरी है। मुझे खुशी है कि बूथ लेवल पर सभी कार्यकर्ता मजबूती से जुटे हुए हैं। आप सभी समय निकालकर हमें आशीर्वाद देने आए, इसका धन्यवाद।’
गया में 12:20 बजे उनकी सभा होगी
इसके बाद प्रधानमंत्री गया जाएंगे। वहां 12:20 बजे उनकी सभा होगी। उसके बाद फिर भागलपुर में 2:40 बजे जनसभा को संबोधित करेंगे। मोदी की सभी सभाओं में उनके साथ मुख्यमंत्री नीतीश कुमार भी होंगे। खास बात ये है कि कोरोना ने इस बार कई नेताओं को प्रधानमंत्री के साथ मंच साझा करने से रोक दिया है। हर आदमी को थर्मल स्क्रीनिंग करके ही अंदर आने की इजाजत दी गई। सबको मास्क पहनना अनिवार्य रखा गया।
मोदी 12 दिनों में 12 रैलियां करेंगे
पहले फेज के आखिरी दौर में प्रधानमंत्री के प्रचार से NDA को काफी उम्मीद है। मोदी 12 दिनों में 12 रैलियां करेंगे। 28 अक्टूबर को दरभंगा, मुजफ्फरपुर और पटना में रैली करेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री का तीसरा दौरा एक नवंबर को छपरा, पूर्वी चंपारण और समस्तीपुर में होगा तो चौथा और अंतिम दौरा तीन नवंबर को पश्चिमी चंपारण, सहरसा और अररिया के फारबिसगंज में होगा।

ગુજરાત વિધાનસભાની ખાલી પડેલી આઠ બેઠકોની પેટાચૂંટણીનો જંગ બરાબરનો જામ્યો છે. ભાજપ અને કોંગ્રેસના નેતાઓ આક્ષેપ પ્રતિઆક્ષેપ કરી રહ્યા છે. ત્યારે કોંગ્રેસ હજુ પણ ભાજપ પર ખરીદ વેચાણના મુદ્દા પર અટક્યું છે. કોંગ્રેસના જે ધારાસભ્યોએ રાજીનામા આપીને પક્ષપલ્ટો કરીને ભાજપમાં જોડાયા બાદ ફરી ટિકીટ પર ચૂંટણી લડી રહ્યા છે. તેઓ પર કરોડો રૂપિયામાં સોદો કર્યો હોવાનો આક્ષેપ થાય છે તેમાં કરજણ બેઠક પર ફરી ચૂંટણી લડી રહેલા અક્ષય પટેલને લઈને મોટો ઘટસ્ફોટ થયો છે.
કોંગ્રેસના નેતા અમિત ચાવડાએ પક્ષપલ્ટો કરનાર અક્ષય પટેલ પર મોટો આરોપ લગાવ્યો છે. અક્ષય પટેલ પર રૂપિયા 52 કરોડથી વધુમાં વેચાયાનો આરોપ લાગ્યો છે. ચાવડાએ જણાવ્યું કે ભાજપના ખરીદ – વેચાણના કારણે પેટાચૂંટણી યોજાઈ રહી છે. આજે દરેક ગુજરાતીઓના મનમાં એક જ સવાલ છે કે આ ચૂંટણી કેમ આવી? તેના પાછળનું કારણ ભાજપ છે. ભાજપે જનતા સાથે દ્રોહ કર્યો છે.
અમિત ચાવડાએ ઉમેર્યું કે, ભાજપના ખરીદ વેચાણના કારણે આજે પેટા ચૂંટણી આવી છે. જેમાં જનતાના રૂપિયાનો બગાડ થઈ રહ્યો છે. અક્ષય પટેલ 52 કરોડથી વધુમાં વેચાયા છે. ભાજપને અક્ષર પટેલને લેવાથી 52 કરોડથી વધુ લાભ થયો હશે એટલે તેઓ ત્યાં ગયા. પરંતુ વેચાયેલા ધારાસભ્યોઓએ જનતા સાથે દ્રોહ કર્યો છે. તેમને જનતા ક્યારેય માફ નહીં કરે. અક્ષય પટેલને ખેડૂતોની ચિંતા હોત તો પક્ષપલટો ના કરત. હવે કોંગ્રેસના ઉમેદવારો જીતશે તો પક્ષપલટો કરશે કે કેમ તે સવાલ અંગે ગોળ ગોળ જવાબ આપ્યા હતા.
અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, અગાઉ અક્ષર પટેલે મોટો ઘટસ્ફોટ કર્યો હતો. તેઓએ 12-15 કરોડ લઈને રાજીનામુ આપ્યુ હોવાનું નકારતા ક્યું હતું કે એમ તો લોકસભા ચૂંટણી સમયે મને 50-52 કરોડની ઓફર થઈ હતી તે સમયે વેચાયો ન હતો તો રૂા.15 કરોડમાં કઈ રીતે વેચાય. તેઓએ કહ્યું કે મારા જ પક્ષના કેટલાક લોકો (કોંગ્રેસના) તે સમયે અન્ય લોકો સાથે મને મળ્યા હતા અને 50-52 કરોડ લઈને રાજીનામુ આપવા જણાવ્યું હતું પણ એ ‘ના’ પાડી હતી. હું વેચાવ તેવો નથી. મારા મતક્ષેત્રના લોકોના કામ થાય તે માટે હું ભાજપ સાથે ગયો છું.

A BJP councillor of Rudrapur municipal corporation was shot dead in front of his house on Monday morning by some unidentified men in Udham Singh Nagar district, police said.
According to the police, the unidentified assailants came in a car and the murder was due to old enmity
Daleep Singh Kunwar, senior superintendent of police (SSP), US Nagar, said, “Some car-borne miscreants arrived at the councillor’s house and called him out, As he reached near the car, the miscreant opened fire on him and fled from the spot.”
Prakash Dhami 40, a resident of Agrasen Nagar, Bhadaipura was councillor in Rudrapur municipal corporation. The killers arrived at his residence around 8 am.
“Dhami tried to run for his safety but the miscreants chased him and fired at him again”, the SSP said.
Dhami was rushed to a private hospital and later to a district hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. He was elected as councillor unopposed in 2018 from ward 13. Later he joined BJP.
Kunwar said, “It is a matter of old enmity and we have formed police teams to solve the case. All the accused will be arrested soon”.

हाथरस गैंगरेप मामले में हंगामे के बीच कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी और प्रियंका गांधी आज फिर हाथरस के लिए रवाना होंगे। उनके काफिले में कांग्रेस के 35 सांसद भी शामिल होंगे। राहुल ने ट्वीट किया है कि दुनिया की कोई ताकत मुझे पीड़ित परिवार से मिलने से नहीं रोक सकती। इससे पहले गुरुवार को राहुल और प्रियंका को हाथरस जाते वक्त ग्रेटर नोएडा एक्सप्रेस-वे पर रोक दिया गया था। दोनों को यूपी पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार कर लिया। पुलिस ने उनसे कहा कि आपने धारा 188 का वॉयलेशन किया है।
पुलिस ने राहुल की कॉलर भी पकड़ी थी। धक्कामुक्की में वे नीचे गिर गए, और हाथ में चोट लग गई। राहुल और प्रियंका को 4 घंटे हिरासत में रखने के बाद छोड़ा गया। दोनों हाथरस के बुलीगढ़ गांव जाकर गैंगरेप पीड़ित के परिवार से मिलना चाहते थे।

पीड़ित के गांव के बाहर पुलिस का पहरा
राहुल को पुलिस आज फिर रोकेगी, क्योंकि पूरे हाथरस जिले में धारा 144 लागू है, सीमाएं सील हैं और विपक्षी दलों के नेताओं को गैंगरेप पीड़ित के गांव में एंट्री नहीं दी जा रही। सरकार ने हाथरस की घटना से जुड़े थाने के पुलिसकर्मियों और आरोपियों के साथ ही पीड़ित परिवार के लोगों का भी नार्को टेस्ट कराने का फैसला किया है।
प्रियंका ने कहा- पीड़ित परिवार को कैद कर धमकियां दी जा रहीं
यूपी सरकार नैतिक रूप से भ्रष्ट है।
पीड़िता को इलाज नहीं मिला, समय पर शिकायत नहीं लिखी, शव को जबरदस्ती जलाया, परिवार कैद में है, उन्हें दबाया जा रहा है – अब उन्हें धमकी दी जा रही कि नार्को टेस्ट होगा।
ये व्यवहार देश को मँजूर नहीं।

तृणमूल सांसदों को भी पुलिस ने धक्के मारकर भगा दिया था
शुक्रवार को तृणमूल के सांसदों को भी गांव के बाहर ही रोक दिया गया। सांसद डेरेक ओ’ब्रायन को पुलिस ने धक्के देकर गिरा दिया। तृणमूल सांसद प्रतिमा मंडल और पूर्व सांसद ममता ठाकुर ने हाथरस सदर के एसडीएम प्रेम प्रकाश मीणा के खिलाफ बदसलूकी का मामला दर्ज करवाया है।
क्या है पूरा मामला?
हाथरस जिले के चंदपा इलाके के बुलगढ़ी गांव में 14 सितंबर को 4 लोगों ने 19 साल की युवती से गैंगरेप किया था। आरोपियों ने युवती की रीढ़ की हड्डी तोड़ दी और उसकी जीभ भी काट दी थी। दिल्ली में इलाज के दौरान पीड़ित की मौत हो गई। चारों आरोपी गिरफ्तार कर लिए गए हैं। हालांकि, पुलिस का दावा है कि दुष्कर्म नहीं हुआ था।
