It’s been more than two months since Dec 12, the day doctors first noticed a Chinese patient display symptoms of the highly-infectious coronavirus that has claimed more than 1,700 lives. In the weeks following that early case, authorities missed four chances to contain the outbreak. Moreover, censorship has now become a lightning rod for public anger in China.
